Adding a cover version to the playlist feels a bit wrong. I just don’t really like the idea of a cover. Better spend time creating a new tune instead of copying what someone’s already done. However, very sporadicly, I stumble upon an actual good cover which I simply can’t ignore. Stick To Your Guns recreated Florence + The Machine’s ‘Dog Days Are Over’, as part of Sumerian Records’ 2014 tribute album to the British band, and turned the indie classic into a metalcore song. When a song is turned inside out and made into a completely different genre. Now, that’s a good cover.
