I think the majority of the world – or at least outside of Australia – first got to know MAY-A as the featuring artist on Flume’s ‘Say Nothing’, released early 2022. I’m sure it won’t take long until we all know MAY-A’s solo work too, especially if it all sounds as good as ‘Something Familiar’. The catchy indie track manages to perfectly blend in that typical 10’s Aussie-sound as we know it from bands like Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Possible Humans.
