Most likely the best metalcore album of the year, Invent Animate’s 4th doesn’t give you any time to get your shit together. ‘Heavener’ is full-blast metalcore, going all-in from the get go. From opener ‘Absence Persistence’, all the way until the final notes of ‘Elysium’, it’s a non-stop hardcore extravaganza. Halfway through the album, once ‘False Meridian’ has transitioned into the slower ‘Reverie’, you get a chance to catch your breath, albeit a short chance. Once ‘Immolation of Night’ kicks in, we’re instantly back at where we started. It’s no surprise, this band fits UNFD’s roster like a glove.
