This is one of the forgotten albums of this year. It had been ages since I last heard from AUTOBAHN. I used to listen to them quite a lot in 2015, when debut album ‘Dissemble’ got released. I even managed to see them live a couple of times and every gig of the Loiners was pretty great. Follow-up album ‘The Moral Crossing’ (released in 2017) didn’t get near as many plays in the Jam of Today household as its predecessor, and thus the AUTOBAHN fire was extinguished quickly after. In all honesty: I didn’t listen to this year’s comeback ‘Ecstacy of Ruin’ that many times either, but I was pleasantly surprised to at least hear some new music from this band again. Hopefully this could be the start of something new for AUTOBAHN.
