It’s time to finish off the year! The final Jam of Today of 2023 will be by a band that made me appreciate swancore like never before: Hail The Sun.

Swancore (or just melodic/post-hardcore in general) is probably the genre I listened to the most this year, especially during the second half of 2023. I’ve started to appreciate this genre to its fullest this year. Post-hardcore overarching subgenres and bands such as Royal Coda, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Dance Gavin Dance (as always), and Hail The Sun were the common threads in my listening behaviour of 2023. I think it’s only fair to finish this year off with a Jam of Today celebrating the beautiful subgenre that is swancore.

Before we kick off 2024, I would like to thank you for visiting my blog in 2023. Setting up Jam of Today as a standalone blog has been a long time coming for me, and I’m happy I finally found the right inspiration and creative input to give in to this long cherished idea. I’m excited to continue Jam of Today in 2024 and I’m looking forward to sharing even more stories on my Jam of Today’s not only from the current, but also from the past.
