2023 saw the departure of BMTH’s keyboard player Jordan Fish. Fish joined the Sheffield lot during the writing of ‘Sempiternal’ and is arguably one of the instigators of BMTH’s more cross-genre approach, given that pretty much every release since ‘Sempiternal’ isn’t to be pinned down to one specific genre and definitely isn’t as ‘metal’ as we used to know from the band. ‘Kool-Aid’ is the first release since Fish’s departure and truth be told, if this is the ‘new’ direction Bring Me The Horizon is going towards, I will be here for it. But yeah, you never know. Next up might be a BMTH featuring Taylor Swift release or whatever.
