With ESNS being in full swing, I won’t bother posting any songs by artists playing at the festival. I will save my highlights for later! Instead, I will show you a brand new song by a band that should’ve really played Eurosonic (or at least Noorderslag) in my opinion.
Tan Tan’s newest release ‘Stone Mask’ is another big step forward for the Amsterdam based indie/dream pop quartet. Since the installation of their new line-up, the band has put a lot of work into improving their sound and releasing new music. Former drummer Samuel Norbury has swapped the kit for his beloved bass, with new drummer Alex Keijser bringing a breath of fresh air to the band’s sound. Not to mention lead guitarist George Lennon, whose influence is of major importance in ‘Stone Mask’, whereas singer and rhythm guitarist Rosie Wise is still leading the pack with her trademark vocals and guitar playing. The highly anticipated ‘Stone Mask’ sets the standard for the new Tan Tan era.
