Went to see Gruff Rhys recently and it was so much fun. It was my first ever time seeing the Welsh singer-songwriter and as I expected, his show was just as funny and weird as some of his songs are. From incomprehensible intervals to spending 5 minutes of the show shredding the crowd’s ’emotional baggage’ through a paper shredder, it was great fun from start to finish. A full 2 hour set finished off by the 2007 neo-psychedelic indie song ‘Gyrru Gyrru Gyrru’, which repeats the Welsh word for ‘drive’ over and over again. Diolch am noson wych!
