I feel kind of ashamed I never listened to any other Mew songs than ‘The Zookeeper’s Boy’, which is a fantastic tune of course. Late last year, I figured it would be time to dive into the Danish band’s catalogue and I’m very glad I did. ‘Comforting Sounds’ has been one of my most streamed songs recently and will be added to the playlist alongside many other Mew songs in the future. Almost 9 minutes of pure brilliance, which was covered into an even more fragile song by Birdy in 2011.
