I can now officially confirm: the move has been successful! After a hectic yet smooth-isch moving day, we arrived at 18:00 o’clock local time on Friday. Since I don’t have a driver’s license, my partner and a good friend of ours helped us move and drive the van all the way across the pond. And, well, someone has to be in charge of the music, of course. As you probably guessed, I was the designated DJ during the leg to London.
Now, you’ve got to understand that I’m often sending my partner music I think she might like. Sadly, she doesn’t always pick up on it and so I have to come up with other creative ways to get my impeccable music taste across. After several tries, this was the ultimate opportunity to spam some songs off of my favourite electronic album, Koreless’s ‘Agor’, into the ears of my van mates. ‘Shellshock’ turned out to be the song that got the best reception, and finally, after all those years, I managed to get an ‘I quite like this‘ out of my partner’s mouth! Not having a driver’s license sure does pay off.
Koreless – ‘Shellshock’ was the 66th record I packed! Stay tuned for more stories surrounding my move to London, and me (re)discovering some of my favourite albums in my collection.
