Even though I own a copy of almost every single Deichkind album, their 2023 release ‘Neues Vom Dauerzustand’ didn’t really manage to grasp my full attention. I have listened to it a few times but couldn’t get into it as much as I got into albums like ‘Arbeit nervt’, ‘Befehl von ganz unten’, or ‘Niveau Weshalb Warum’. There’s still a few good songs on this latest album, though, and especially ‘Wutboy’ reminds me of the days I started to listen to Deichkind for the first time.
