To be fair, it’s pretty cool PLAZA re-recorded some older singles for their 2024 debut album ‘A Different State of Mind’ (which I kind of reviewed here). I have always thought their old stuff is really decent and it’s a true shame it never got picked up. My personal favourites ‘Origami‘, ‘Youth‘, and ‘Blood Orange‘ (from which only the latter appeared on the album) certainly deserve more recognition than they have gotten up to this point. One song I wasn’t familiar with, however, is ‘Antumbra’, which appeared on PLAZA’s YouTube channel in March 2015. Listening to both old and new versions of this song, it’s very understandable the Hartlepool lot re-recorded this song.
