Niko B has released his debut album last month. The rapper from Milton Keynes rose to fame around 2020 with many great and funny singles such as ‘Who’s That What’s That’, ‘Quick Drive’, ‘Canada Goose’, and ‘Rips in Jeans’. None of these viral singles have made it onto ‘dog eat dog food world’, though. This album still features quirky and funny lyrics, yet the songs seem to be a bit more chill and share a more collective sound, giving it a more relaxing and streamlined vibe. ‘dog eat dog food world’ reminds me a bit of Jordan Stephens’ debut album ‘Let Me Die Inside You’ which turned out to be one of my favourite albums of 2022. I think Niko B’s debut has a lot of potential to become one of my top 10 albums of this year and lead single ‘trespass coat’ will probably rack up some streams this year. I’m really feeling this one.
