After a good night’s rest in our hotel (we simply hate camping, therefore we try and avoid it as much as possible at the festivals we go to), we were back in good spirits and ready for our 2nd festival day, though it kind of felt like our first day given that Thursday was a bit of a meh day for us. Either way, we were treated very well today with some absolute top class bands. This day was by far our favourite, music wise, and it’s actually quite difficult choosing 1 highlight from this day.

One important thing to know about 2000trees is that there’s this one stage close to the main stage called ‘Neu‘ that usually features the best unknown and new (what’s in the name) acts you can think of. We have seen bands like Cassels, CARSICK, Enola Gay, Gurriers, and VUKOVI absolutely destroy this stage and leaving a lasting impression. This year, we will add Other Half to that list. I only briefly listened to this band right before we headed to the festival in the morning thus not really knowing what we were in for. What I got in return was brilliant: a three pack of killer musicians (really impressed by the drums in particular) lead by charming yet introverted guitarist/singer in Cal Hudson. Having released 3 albums already, I’m happy there’s plenty of music by this British band for me to discover. I don’t quite remember whether they played this song live or not but ‘Farm Games’ should give you a good impression of what you will be in for when seeing this band live.
