One of the funniest moments of Jera on Air 2024 must’ve been the ‘surprise’ set of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, also known as The Bloody Beetroots. Much to my surprise, the Italian DJ act got added to the line-up last minute. That in itself was already quite funny, given that my partner and me were literally talking about my experience watching The Bloody Beetroots Live perform an absolutely wild set at Sziget 2014 just days before. Quite dumbfounded but full of enthusiasm I headed to the DJ set at 3pm in the afternoon, only to have the best time ever at some hilarious remixes of Korn, Drowning Pool, and some other nu-metal legends. Sadly, SBCR didn’t play ‘Rocksteady’, which must be a secret all-time classic of mine.
