It’s a wrap! Our final festival of 2024 – Haldern Pop – has been a blast. 3 days of good music, great company, and poor beer ‘cuz let’s face it: König Pilsener is pretty revolting. Anyway. Here’s some musical highlights of last weekend.

Starting off at day 1. Overall, my entire festival experience was quite relaxed since I only had a handful of acts that I really wanted to see. Therefore, there was plenty of time for discovering new acts during the weekend (more on that later this week). Thursday’s highlight for me actually wasn’t Yard Act but instead turned out to be The Silhouettes Project. However, given that their show proved to be more of a talent showcase, I choose to highlight Thursday’s #2 Yard Act here instead. The Leeds lot improved their live performance by adding 2 background singers/dancers and a new keys player too, which made for some decent Talking Heads-esque vibes.
