So, black midi is dead (RIP). It is what it is, we just have to deal with it. There’s no time to be sad about it, anyway: The Greep has released his first solo single last week, called ‘Holy, Holy’. It’s the first taste we get from ‘The New Sound’, the upcoming debut by the renowned bm-frontman. ‘Holy, Holy’ might be one of the most enjoyable new releases I’ve heard in a while. It’s a 6 minute rollercoaster of a bit of black midi inspired chaos mixed in with the kind of storytelling Peter Griffin would do during a musical episode of Family Guy. It might be a bit of an overwhelming listen for the layman, but I urge anyone to give it a try. Before you know it, those 6 minutes have flown by and at the end of the ride, all you can say is: ‘Again, Again!’.
