I’m toying with the idea to make Sunday a bit of a ‘classics’ day, where I highlight (what I deem) a classic on the blog. I mean, you can never have enough classics in a playlist, right? I’m not sure about it yet, though, since it does take away a bit of the spontaneity of the blog. Let’s just see how long I can keep it up. I don’t want to pressure myself into uploading classics just for the sake of it. Well, here goes. First up, a classic many of you might not even recognize. Off to a great start!
While ‘Understanding In A Car Crash’ is Thursday’s ultimate post-hardcore classic, I wouldn’t just take their other content for granted. ‘At This Velocity’ is hailing off of ‘A City by the Light Divided’, Thursday’s fourth album released in 2006 (seriously, how many sick releases did 2006 have?!) and has never really been a hit, therefore would probably also not classify as a classic but, hey! It’s my blog so I get to choose the classics. That’s right. This way I can keep on sharing as many ‘classics’ as I want. Ha! Just shift the rules. Making it easy for myself. Nice. And, you know, this song is a banger, too. So, it’s a win-win! I get to share my favourite under-the-radar classics and you get to know some random bangers. I already love this concept.
