This beautiful song by the properly underrated Starsailor is yet another fantastic rediscovery and will be my final highlight during this somewhat spontaneous ‘music quiz’ mini-series. Music quizzes bring me so much joy. Not only because I get to spend an entire evening enjoying and talking about music for hours straight with people who are just as crazy about it as me, it also shows how music can connect people in the best ways possible. Over the last 15 years or so, I have met some amazing people with the most surprising and in-depth knowledge on all kinds of music ever created, as well as having (re)discovered the most brilliant of songs. It never really is about winning for me (or at least not in most quizzes I attend). For me, it’s all about being surrounded by some absolute music-crazy souls who will speak with the upmost enthusiasm on songs from the deepest of vaults you can think of. It’s a delight to be part of a (very small and very local) quizzing community and I can recommend any music enjoyer to at least give it a try every now and then. If anything, it will expand your knowledge and enthusiasm on some things you may have never heard of. And in this case, it will make you rediscover some sad tunes from a band you forgot still existed.
