I should probably highlight some more tunes by this band given that I saved each and every single one of their songs after discovering them. Split Chain did a fantastic job in convincing me of their musical quality when they released ‘(Re)-Extract‘ with Softcult. I was up for a treat, however, because I was this satisfied with Split Chain’s sound that I decided to give all of their other (7) singles a spin too. That turned out to be a very good choice. Their boisterous sound reminds me of acts like Loathe, Fleshwater, and a bit of Teenage Wrist mixed with Title Fight. Right up my street, obviously. ‘Chalk’ is my current favourite by the Brits, but I’m sure many more of their songs will hold that title one day.
