November has officially been kicked off today. I’m not really a fan of the end of the year. I don’t know why. It just doesn’t do much for me. November is usually a bit of a meh month, pretty forgettable if you ask me. I suppose one of the things I can do to make it a bit better for myself is to look back at some nice things that happened in 2024. Since I have something exciting lined up for December, I’ve got about 30 days to look back at some (not necessarily 2024 related) musical highlights of this year. Starting off with a recent gig. Late October, I headed down to Brixton to catch HEALTH live. The LA-based industrial act proved to be one of the best gigs of 2023 (being my final one too) and they’re also definitely high up there this year. Right after last year’s gig I took a massive liking to album ‘RAT WARS’, playing it many times in 2024. I’ve already highlighted a whole bunch of songs off of that specific album but every time I listen to this album, I feel like adding another one to the playlist. Therefore, we are now adding ‘FUTURE OF HELL’, too.
