Ever since I moved country, I took it upon myself to do a lot more things out of my comfort zone. I started going to the gym, joined a football supporters club, explored many places on my own, and today I’m heading to what could best be described as a day rave. I’m not really into raving culture, but today there’s an event happening in London’s Drumsheds featuring a few of my favourite electronic artists (Blawan, Caribou, Four Tet, Koreless) that seemed like a great introduction into this scene. Also, as I’m not quite interested in nightlife in general, I’m glad this event will be hosted from 1pm until 10:30pm. Perfect! Now, I may have deceived you a little by highlighting Aphex Twin on the blog today. For the record: the legendary ambient DJ is not on the bill of today’s event. However… Seeing Aphex Twin live is something I would definitely not want to miss out on – especially not after my previous debacle… Hopefully today’s rave will make me even more excited to catch a glimpse of Aphex Twin one day.
