It seems like this grungy metal sound is starting to make a proper comeback. I stumble upon more and more Deftones-influenced acts these days. Obviously, we had Loathe a few years ago doing a stellar job at it, but now there’s act such as Split Chain, Retail Parks, and to some extent Gnarlah and Wisp, too, who are embracing this sound. Another name to add to that roster is Love Is Noise, a British metal duo formed of ex-Lotus Eater drummer Cameron Humphreys (on vocals) and guitarist Tom Mellon who have recently released their latest single ‘To live in a different way’ ahead of their forthcoming album carrying the same name (out February 14th). Another band to look out for in the new year!
