The downside of wrapping up your End of the Year lists before the actual end of the year is that some albums won’t make it in purely because you didn’t manage to listen to ’em yet. This time that happened to DIIV’s album ‘Frog In Boiling Water’, which I only really picked up after I saw the Brooklyn band playing a support slot for Fontaines D.C. in Ally Pally, late November. A bummer! To be fair, it would’ve probably made it into my Top 31 if only I had listened to it a bit earlier on in the year…
