Early last year, I had a spell of religiously listening to Australian indie duo CLEWS. I was fully convinced many of their songs would make it into the playlist, but so far only 5 (+ 1 collab with Holy Holy) actually made it in. A shame, since their music is genuinely stunning. Take ‘Cuban Heel’, just a random track off of their 2021 EP ‘Loveluck Omens’. A greatly written indie track carried by CLEWS’s characteristic harmonising vocals. Will 2025 be the year that we finally see a debut album? Only time will tell…
