Every now and then whenever I hear a song I liked when I was a teenager, I ask myself the question “How did I discover this?”. Truth be told, 95% of the time I can’t remember anymore. I wish I could go back to the time I first heard certain songs and thought “yes, this is nice”. Today’s Jam is a prime example of this. Surely I didn’t discover this on the radio. I mean, this definitely didn’t chart in The Netherlands. I doubt anyone had even heard of this artist whatsoever. Yet, here we are. 16 years after its release, still listening to it every once in a while. Isn’t that just fascinating?
