Looking back at Van Houten’s long awaited debut album ‘The Tallest Room‘ (March 2024), I came to the realisation that this album is much better than I initially thought. Perhaps their performance at the Shacklewell Arms in July last year helped a bit with that, too. Especially since writing their piece for Jam of Today’s December Special, ‘The Tallest Room’ has grown to be an underrated favourite of mine. Songs like ‘I Let You’ and ‘Head Straight’ are amongst my top songs right now.
