The first Jam of 2025 was quite an odd one. Perhaps you remember me highlighting a song called ‘Beep! Beep! Honk! Honk!‘ by a band called Dog. I thought it would be a great, silly start of 2025 but I did actually find myself non-ironically listening to this song quite a lot. Dog is a London based music collective featuring members from plenty underground acts such as Tapir! (who scored pretty well in the December special of 2024) and has released only a handful of songs as of yet. Each and every one of those songs, though, is as surprising as the other. Dog’s small discography is a hilariously diverse one, ranging from dark post-punk inspired songs in ‘Age of Goat’ to absolutely ridiculous Summer Jam-inspired electro pop.
