With spring knocking on the door, it’s time to whip out some sunny tunes. Usually I find this quite subjective since for me, it’s mostly about the memory you hold to a song rather than the actual vibe of a song. For example, if you hear Pharrell Williams’s ‘Happy’ at a funeral of a loved one, you will probably hold some sad memories to it even though it’s considered quite an upbeat song. This might be a bit of an extreme example towards today’s Jam but Moreish Idols ‘Chum’ isn’t necessarily the most spring-like song. I did, however, listen to this band a lot around this time last year. Therefore it fills me with pleasure playing this tune now that we’re up for a change of seasons.
