The YouTube algorithm is treating me to some long forgotten songs I used to listen to roughly 12 years ago. I don’t know where they keep pulling ’em from! I like to leave the majority of my recent rediscoveries in the past where they sit well with a lot of memories from my teenage years but every now and then there’s one that I’m pleased to highlight, such as today’s Jam ‘Put Me To Work’ by LA-based band PAPA. I had put this song in a box tucked very far away in my brain’s storage but when I got prompted to watch their music video last week, I realised this song is a lot better than I thought all those years ago. Rediscovery done well, if you ask me.
