Ever since Benthos signed on German prog. label Inside Out Music, I figured it would be worth checking out their roster to see what else they have on offer. Bands like Dream Theater, Haken, Jethro Tull, and Yes obviously don’t need an introduction but this 2011-release by American band Jolly might not be on your radar just yet. Hailing off of their second album ‘The Audio Guide to Happiness (Pt. 1)’ is ‘Joy’, an atmospheric song that swerves somewhere between progressive metal and post-grunge. I noticed myself sticking with this song quite a bit recently, so much that it’s now turned into my Jam of Today.
