I’ve always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with James Blake and more specifically the man’s music. I must add, the older I get the more I enjoy his music. When me and my partner first started hanging out back in 2019, she introduced me to James Blake’s fourth album ‘Assume Form’ which instantly catapulted itself right into the list of my favourite albums of that year. Before that particular album however, I had never found myself listening to the talented Brit and I even had quite a strong dislike towards his 2011-single ‘Limit To Your Love’, which used to play on the Dutch radio all the time back in the day. Now that I’m older and wiser, I tend to appreciate James Blake’s skills more and more and even though he still releases plenty of songs that aren’t necessarily my cup of tea, this song from November 2024 sure is.
