I got taken by surprise by Confessions of a Traitor’s latest album ‘This Pain Will Serve You’, and more specifically the final track on this 11-song piece. ‘Cos, who did I spy there as a featuring artist on ‘Half Life’? Black Coast, one of my favourite finds of this year so far! Never did I think they would partner up with what I think is a properly underrated metal band in Confessions of a Traitor, who are known to be a Christian metal band which probably doesn’t do them many favours in the mainstream music landscape. Either way, since I’m always open to look beyond the borders of what we consider conventional music, I’m more than willing to give this album some more playtime throughout the rest of 2025. Primarily because it’s genuinely a really great metal album which I can highly recommend to anyone enjoying this music genre.
