Only 8 more days until we celebrate another month full of specials here on Jam of Today! Contrary to most of the shorter, diary-like posts I tend to do on here, I will be sharing longer, perhaps more captivating stories surrounding my own record collection during the entire month of June. Not only because I have a lot of different records to enjoy in my collection that I simply don’t find enough time for to listen to, also because it’s a bit of a personal refresher as to whether I already own certain records or not.
Especially surrounding classic albums, I find myself wondering: “Do I already own this record, or do I not?”. A prime example of that is Muse’s ‘Black Holes and Revelations’. Having been one of my favourite bands ever since I was a kid, it was only a matter of time until I would start to collect as many Muse albums into my record collection as possible. Even though ‘Origin of Symmetry’ will probably continue to stand out as my favourite album by the Brits, I couldn’t help myself but try and make sure I will own a copy of many more of the band’s great discography. Today’s album features so many bangers, I can’t even begin to name ’em all, but certainly is one that I always seem to forget whether I have already bought it or not. Hell, even writing this here right now made me open my own personal Discogs page to give myself a concluding answer. Ha!
Be sure to tune in to Jam of Today this June for a month full of stories surrounding the albums in my record collection! I’m looking forward to sharing some more personal and memory-packed stories with you. Let’s enjoy even more music together!
