After a great but long first day at 2000trees, the Friday was a bit of a rough one to get into for me. The heat (and definitely not the amount of beer I drank during the silent disco) had quite some impact on my sleep causing me to have a bit of a slow start to this day. Nevertheless we popped down early to catch some great music live. Once I had a bit of a nap and loaded myself with some amounts of sugar, we managed to catch a very solid quantity of acts once more and looking back at the acts I’ve seen on this day, it turned out to be a varied one as well. More indie leaning bands like KEG and Orchards got mixed in with forgotten garage treasure Cloud Nothings and a personal favourite of mine in Hail The Sun. Swiss noise band Coilguns however, turned out to be one of the big surprises of this day. A highly energetic performance by an ever so ecstatic performer in singer Louis Jucker completed what was an extremely solid sounding set of musicians. I’d heard of this group before but never actually listened to them, which made for a proper Trees experience in discovering another great group.
