Every now and then I quite like me some Badflower, though I must say it’s often hit or miss for the American emo group. 2021-album ‘This Is How The World Ends’ did pretty well for me and contains many songs I still like to listen to frequently to this day. Especially ‘Family’ and ‘Machine Gun’ are considered favourites by me. 2019 debut ‘OK, I’M SICK’ certainly has some songs I thoroughly enjoy often too, though some are so extremely heavy loaded I can’t quite listen to them all too frequently. Fast forward to 2025, album ‘No Place Like Home’ got released near the end of June and is yet another very fine album. I’m pretty sure I will have to listen to this a few more times before being able to properly enjoy it but so far, I’ve taken a good liking to the 2nd half of the album. Especially songs ‘What’s The Point’, ‘Paws’, and ‘Let Me Get Something Off My Chest’ are standing out to me as of now. The first half contains some solid tunes, too, yet some seem a bit more forgettable. But then again, I might just need to give it a bit more time. Definitely glad I didn’t give up on this band.
