I don’t listen to much hip-hop anymore these days. Many years ago, I went through a massive phase of listening to artists like Lil Peep, $uicideboy$, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and more highly rated emo-rappers, most of which being pretty well represented in the Jam of Today playlist. I’m aware this isn’t quite the sexiest genre to talk about but I simply can’t ignore the fact that it made massive impact on my life and I’m sure if it wasn’t for this music, I wouldn’t have been who I am today. Again, I don’t quite listen to this stuff all too often anymore but as soon as my eye caught this collab between two of my old-school favourites, I simply couldn’t ignore it. It’s absolutely nothing like anything I’ve shared on the blog here recently but I actually dig ‘Carried Away’ quite a fair bit. Throughout the years, $uicideboy$ have established themselves as icons within their genre and Night Lovell has proven himself to be the next big thing within the emo spheres with his many rock solid releases. Their previous collab ‘JOAN OF ARC‘ has turned into a bit of a personal classic of mine and time will tell if ‘Carried Away’ will gain that same status. So far, so good.
