Haha, what are the odds. I stumbled upon this band a few weeks ago and thought to myself: “Didn’t I share these lot on Jam of Today recently?” Well, I certainly wasn’t far off. Perhaps you remember me sharing a Swiss band called Moonpools a few months ago, their song ‘Never Mind’ stood out to me as a great “(..) ethereal synth-heavy dream pop tune“. Within that somewhat broad description, today’s Jam by Colorado based band moonpool isn’t that far off, though it’s a bit heavier and on the shoegaze side. Either way: I couldn’t believe that two so similarly named bands were A): both making cool tunes and B): doing that in pretty much the same realm of the musical spectrum. Talk about confusing!
