You wouldn’t believe it but I actually have more than just 1 single playlist to keep track of what songs I actually like. I got a few (private) playlists on Spotify to collect songs that I like, as well as some with songs ‘I should probably listen to again before making my mind up about ’em’. The latter doesn’t get as much airplay as the others but whenever I do play it, I hope to surprise myself with either “a terrible song, why did I ever think I was going to enjoy this” or an “absolutely banging tune, I can’t believe I didn’t share it on the blog yet”. Honestly, the majority of the songs in this ‘to listen to again’-playlist all end up on a pile of “that’s ok, I guess”-songs but sometimes I do actually find something that I like more than the others, such as this tune by Manchester based post-punk band Aerial Salad.
