Bit of a weird reference but whenever this song by CJ Bolland kicks in, I always think KURUPT FM‘s MC Grindah is the one shouting the “Who’s gonna pound on the Y2K” bit. Fair play to those having watched People Just Do Nothing; one of my favourite mockumentaries out there which I recently rewatched again. Alright, anyway, this tune by CJ Bolland isn’t quite what you would expect after songs like ‘The Prophet‘, ‘Sugar Is Sweeter‘, or ‘Nein Ooh Nein‘ but I still vibe with it just as hard. It’s a lot more on the breakbeat end which is a rare genre featured here on the blog, so I’m pleased to add a bit more of that stuff to the playlist today.
