Blast from the past! Other than their rendition of ‘Hard To Handle’, which might be one of these songs I’ve heard too many times to still enjoy it, ‘Twice As Hard’ is – surprisingly enough – quite up to my taste, or so I realised yesterday when I heard it playing at the office. I believe we used to own a copy of ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ on CD back in the day and every now and then, whenever I hear a song reminding me of my youth that I haven’t heard in ages, all of a sudden it just lands. All of a sudden, I seem to take a liking to it. Even though I didn’t really think any of it when I was – let’s say – 8 years old. Anyway, I made use of this opportunity to check out the video catalogue by The Black Crowes at work and found some more great tunes such as ‘Jealous Again’ and ‘Remedy’. Perhaps I’ll spin these a bit as well the coming weeks.
