Bit of a weird in-between release this is. Badflower dropped ‘Teacher Has A Gun’ back in 2024, way after their previous album ‘This Is How The World Ends’ (2021) and its accompanying singles got released. Yet it didn’t appear on Badflower’s 2025 album ‘No Place Like Home’ either. To top it off, the music video of ‘Teacher Has A Gun’ features a brief snippet of ‘Detroit‘, a song which was yet to be released at the time this video dropped and did in fact appear on the band’s latest album. Well, ’tis what ’tis. At least they bothered to release this song in the first place, which I’m very pleased about since it has swiftly developed into one of my favourite songs by the American emo group.
