Following their successful 2024-album ‘Liminal’, Belmont returned this year with a small EP called ‘Last To Love’, featuring 3 new songs and 1 chilled-out version of the aforementioned album’s title track. You might recall ‘In The Sky‘ being highlighted on the blog in an overwhelming wave of new tunes back in May 2025, but other songs ‘Carry On’ and ‘Live A Lie’ are most certainly worth a mention, too. ‘Carry On’ features on the mini-album as a stereotypical Belmont-song: guitar and drums being all over the place with singer Taz Johnson spitting his emotional lyrics like a true post-hardcore emo kid. ‘Live A Lie’, however, really sounds like Belmont at their best. It’s like all my favourite songs off of ‘Liminal’ got cramped into a relentless 2:21-long track, making for an ADHD-cake chock-full of chaotic riffs and hooks. What more could you ask for?
