Me and my partner (we work at the same office) often tend to get a bit sick of the cheesy music they play at our workplace. Therefore, in the odd time it happens that either one of us arrives before our colleagues do, we take hold of the office iPad and start playing our personal favourite music to claim the soundtrack of that workday. Sometimes, though, it gets a bit out of hand. Like that time ‘Steel Spine’ by LOCKED SHUT came on shuffle. Never forget the moment this song came on at 3pm on a casual afternoon at work: “573 BOONE COUNTY, MO. MIDWEST HARDCOOOOOORE” blasting through the speakers. Haha! Can’t lie, this had me wheezing. For the sake of my colleagues’ sanity, I quickly changed the music to something a bit more accessible but I’m very pleased we briefly managed to play some rock solid hardcore at the office.
