Haven’t been talking as much about Superheaven’s return this year as I probably should’ve. The American grunge group dropped their self-titled third album, their first full-length in 10 years featuring many really good songs as I was lucky enough to witness live during Rock im Park this year. Ever since that set, I’ve been playing this album quite consistently and especially songs ‘Humans For Toys’ and ‘Stare At The Void’ have done very well for me. I don’t think this album will go down in the history books as one of the best grunge albums ever created and I’m also not sure if it will make for a cult hit such as ‘Youngest Daughter‘ (off of Superheaven’s infamous debut ‘Jar’), but still: fans of artists like Title Fight, Basement and Fleshwater will take a solid liking to this album and will most certainly make it worthy of a spin or two.
