Went to a gig in Brixton last Friday and, believe it or not: I did not see the headliner! In fact, I had left before even the 3rd (of 3) support act had started. Yeah, it’s pretty uncommon for me to do so but I truly had a good excuse this time: I had to get up at the crack of dawn the next morning to play a game of football. By the time the clock struck 10, I realised only 2 of the 4 bands that evening had played and given it would take over an hour to get myself back home, I figured to grant myself some extra hours sleep instead of sticking around ’til late at night. It sadly did mean I had to sacrifice watching djank, who I’d taken a liking to earlier that day while preparing myself for this gig. Perhaps I’ll get another chance seeing them live someday.
