Halfway through last month, I figured to spin Spotify’s personalised playlist Release Radar to stay on top of the handful of new releases that month had to offer. Whereas there’s usually nothing really catching the eye, I got surprised by one of their additions by ways of Blight Town, an alternative rock meets math 5-piece from Nottingham, who had released their latest ‘World Speed Ravine’ right before the start of December. Having not heard anything of this band before, this was a perfect get-to-know for me! Not often does Spotify manage to recommend the right songs to me but this time, they did a stellar job putting this outfit on my radar.
