Almost 7,5 years after the release of their final single ‘Landslide‘, Arcane Roots have officially crawled out of their hiatus and dropped a brand new song today in ‘A Wave, Across The Sea’. Never did I think a comeback by the Andrew Groves fronted band would be in the cards but here we are. This song feels like an instant continuation from where the band left off – dreamy like their latest EP but equally as powerful as some of the best songs on their most recent album ‘Melancholia Hymns‘ (2017). This 5:40 minute long song climaxes by releasing all stored energy from the last decade to be burst into one deliciously powerful ending. On top of this, the Brits have announced 2 exclusive comeback shows this summer of which 1 will be at my favourite festival – 2000trees, which I will of course be attending this year for the sixth time in a row. It feels amazing to be saying this: Arcane Roots is back.
