Remember Noisettes? The British indie group had one massive hit late 00s with their tune ‘Never Forget You’, a song which I never took a liking to, if I’m brutally honest. Lucky for me, the Shingai Shoniwa fronted group had plenty of other bangers in their locker waiting for me to be discovered. What about songs like ‘Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)’, ‘Don’t Give Up’, or – since recent times my personal favourite – the lowkey punky ‘Sister Rosetta (Capture The Spirit)’ from their debut album ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf?’ (2007)? Yeah! They’re great songs! Fast, powerful, DIY: a recipe for success. Yes, it’s all a little bit dated, but I still dig it quite a bit.
