After Arcane Roots released their brand new hit single ‘A Wave, Across The Sea‘ last week, I fell into a rabbit hole of Arcane Roots-adjacent acts by ways of Spotify’s auto-generated ‘radio’. Obviously, this was packed to the brim with some of my favourite songs by bands such as Press to MECO, Black Peaks, and Marmozets, but I also got introduced to some new tunes of which ‘Dark Water’ by Agent Fresco is the most stand-out one. The further this song progresses, the more you start to wonder where it’s heading but once all connects, this song turns out to be such a well-orchestrated piece of modern prog you just want to listen to it over and over again.
